Best Breakfast Ever

I have always loved a good breakfast, so Cara and I decided to take many peoples advice and eat at "Angelos". Many Ann Arbor natives had highly recommended it, so I had very high expectations, which were met and exceeded. I had the Deep Fried French Toast. Although I probably lost a year of my life for eating it, it was worth it.

Lucky

What a wonderful week we had! Made wonderful mostly because Jackson and I totally lucked out when my good friend Tiffanys flight was canceled in Detroit. It was certainly unlucky for her but we were so excited that we got to spend time with her! It was so much fun to sit and hang out with her and Savannah and just talk to a good friend! Feel free to get stuck in Detroit anytime Tiffany!

# 101

101 - Cara loves to play basketball and is a great player. She recently played for the Ann Arbor 1st ward Relief Society team and led to a 2nd place finish. (They probably would have won the championship, but had to play back-to-back games while the other team had an hour of rest).

Cara is a very versatile player. Here she is playing point guard, but she is usually down low and in her semi-final game was the leading rebounder and shot 100% for the game.

A much needed break

2. I also really hate rats and mice and really any kind of rodent and reptile
3. I love Izze's, thank you Paige for introducing them to me.
4. I love to read
5. Especially the back of the book first, this drives most people crazy, but what can I say I need to know that everything ends with happily ever after.
6. I have only not finished 1 book because of how it ended.
7. I watched a lot of basketball before I got married (really only the Jazz) I watch basketball at least 100 times more than now I ever did before I got married.
8. My family says I am dramatic.
9. I think they are all almost as dramatic, they just don't own up to it.
10. I think Jackson is hilarious
11. He says a benefit of being married to him is that I get complete access to his funny side.


12. Jackson and I love to watch the Cash Cab on Disovery Channel.


13. I think we could do pretty well on it.
14. When I dance I have to start with a clap in order to get my rythym going, if I don't start with a clap Jackson says the quality of my dancing goes down.
15. I love to sing.
16. According to Jackson I sing when I cook, I really hadn't noticed. He says my Mom and Grandma do it too, it must be genetic.
17. I love to travel.
18. I hate camping, well strongly dislike.
19. I am the only person in my family who can't water ski.
20. My family always told me that this would be a bad thing when I married someone who loves to ski.
21. I married someone who has never waterskiied in his life.
22. I love to go snow skiing and ice skating with Jackson.
23. When you are married to someone who is good at everything he does it is nice to go and do something you are better at.
24. I am very competitive.
25. I really want to travel around Europe.
26. I wish I could speak Spanish or really any other language with some degree of fluency.
27. I really wish I could play the piano.
28. I plan to take lessons at some point in my life.
29. I was in the Mini Shakespearean festival at my high school.
30. I played Hero from Much Ado About Nothing.
31. I went to two high schools.
32. Starting at a new school where I knew no one was one of the hardest things I have ever done.
33. When people ask me what high school I went to I usually tell them West because if they ask if I know someone from there it is more likely that I do.
34. I loved the University of Utah.
35. I am a die hard Ute.
36. I also loved Chi Omega and all the friends I made there.
37. I really miss having girlfriends that you can go to lunch with any day.
38. I really miss having our friends and family close by.
39. I think I probably miss Thomas and Phoebe the most though.
40. I talk to my parents at least once a week.
41. I love that my family is close to each other.
42. I love going on vacation with my family.

76. When we got married Jackson and I had to go through and determine which holidays are gift giving holidays.

83. When I wear turtlenecks I feel like I am being constantly choked.

85. Jackson doesn't love biking as much, but I think it may grow on him one day.
86. I also love swimming laps, it is really the only way to clear my mind.
87. I think about really random things most of the time.
88. I hate puzzles, they drive me nuts.
89. Jackson loves puzzles.
90. After I finish a puzzle I want to glue it together so we never have to do it again.
91. Jackson has only let me do this to two puzzles, he thinks it defeats the purpose of the puzzle.
92. When I go into a bookstore I really could stay there for hours, and sometimes I have.
93. Jackson hates to go to bookstores with me.
94. I plan things out in my head but sometimes I forget to tell Jackson what I am planning, I really do forget that he can't read my mind.
95. Jackson really is the greatest.
96. I love to get my hair cut.
97. This has been a problem since I moved away from my very favorite stylist.
98. I started a painting once.
99. Without my Mom's help it would be awful.
100. It has been about three years in the making.

Wow that was pretty hard. I love reading everyone elses 100 things so here is mine.

Ice Age

Have you ever wondered what the ice age was like? Well I never have, but I am pretty sure I have a good idea of what it felt like now, minus the ice. Michigan. If you want to experience the modern ice age come to Michigan, where it gets as cold as -20 (with windchill) and they have warnings that you need to cover all exposed skin when you venture outside or risk hypothermia and frost bite.

Recycling

NEWMAN: Well, I'm not paying the five cents for that stupid recycling
thing.
KRAMER: You don't pay five cents, you get five cents back. Here, read
the label here. (reads from bottle) Vermont, Connecticut, Massachusetts, New
York. Refund, (brings bottle up close to Newman's eyes) vrrup, five cents.
NEWMAN: (taking bottle) Refund?
KRAMER: Yes.
JERRY: Well, what d'you think the hoboes are doing?
NEWMAN: I don't know, they're deranged.

NEWMAN: (peering at bottle label) What is this 'MI, ten cents'?
KRAMER: That's Michigan. In Michigan you get ten cents.
NEWMAN: Ten cents!?
KRAMER: Yeah.
NEWMAN: Wait a minute. You mean you get five cents here, and ten cents
there. You could round up bottles here and run 'em out to Michigan for the
difference.
KRAMER: No, it doesn't work.
NEWMAN: What d'you mean it doesn't work? You get enough bottles
together...
KRAMER: Yeah, you overload your inventory and you blow your margins on
gasoline. Trust me, it doesn't work.
JERRY: (re-entering) Hey, you're not talking that Michigan deposit
bottle scam again, are you?
KRAMER: No, no, I'm off that.
NEWMAN: You tried it?
KRAMER: Oh yeah. Every which way. Couldn't crunch the numbers. It drove
me crazy.

Sorry I tried to find a clip of the Seinfeld episode where Kramer and Newman go to Michigan to turn in their cans, but there was nothing on youtube but I found the dialog online. Anyway Jackson is as excited about the 10 cents per can as Kramer and Newman were. We don't usually buy bottled water or canned pop but Jackson saw a deal and was so excited that we can get most of our money back from the recycling. So we are following the example of the "hobos", except for the rifling through garbages part.
