Toronto

We went to Toronto this weekend. We loved it, it was such a fun city with so much to do.

We went to Canada's castle, Casa Loma.

We saw the Royal Ontario Museum. If we go again we will actually go to it and look at the exhibitions.

Queens Park and the statue of King George. Jackson was wishing he had a horse too.

We saw so many random people doing random things downtown. We think there must have been some kind of convention.

These people were doing aerobics outside of the subway station.

The Distillery District was probably my favorite.

You may not know this but Jackson collects sports cards, apparently he has books and books of them but he left them in Salt Lake and is missing them. They had a vending machine of sports cards, Jackson was in heaven.

The subway station didn't take visa or american express so we had to walk to a gas station to find an atm.

Can you tell who takes most of the pictures? Jackson is a little creeped out that most of these are of him.

Jackson made me add the pictures I didn't like so that there are a few more with me. Enjoy the wierdness of my eyes!

Blueberry Picking

We tried to live up Jackson's last week of freedom. If you have any ideas on how to use 6 pounds of blueberries send them our way.

Olympic Fever

Five Sports we are relatively certain we could pick up easily and win a medal in:

Badmitton: This one is exclusively Jackson. He figures that he can already play badmitton and has a killer slam.
Fencing: Fast feet and lunge, I think I could handle it.
Handball: Again exclusively Jackson. He figures that since he can already play basketball that he could pick this up quickly. Not me.
Curling: Although this is not in the summer Olympics I think I could do it. Pushing the big circle thing across the ice? Easy. Even easier, sweeping the ice in front of the big circle thing. Look for me in Toronto, I will be a Gold medal sweeper.
Race walking otherwise known as speedwalking: My fourth grade teacher taught me how to speed walk, it's all in the hips. I've got this one down.

The next Michael Phelps...

These are Jackson's natural flippers, size 15.

Jackson is pretty sure that he has the genes to produce the next Michael Phelps. They are both lanky, about 6'4, Jackson could easily consume 10,000 calories and still not gain weight, they both have massive feet, hands, arms and legs. You may wonder why Jackson isn't the next Michael Phelps. He is only stopped by the fact that swimming one lap winds him, we hope that our future Michael Phelps inherits my ability to swim several laps in a row along with Jackson's lanky build.

Our celebratory dinner last night

Yesterday was our 3rd Anniversary. We had a great night eating and going to a movie (Jackson willingly went to a movie where he was the only boy in the theatre.) I hope you enjoy the pictures from our wedding (sorry they are not great scans), we loved our wedding. It was in my parents back yard and absolutely beautiful!

On Friday we had a party for the Olympic Opening Ceremonies



Jackson helped me make fortune cookies the night before, they were far more successful than the very over churned ice cream...
Today was the robotics conference I have been helping to plan at work
These are two of the water robots, the boat takes sonar images of anything under it. All I know about the plane is that it can fly and go around on the water.
This is the solar car that won some competition, the guy on the right is one of Michigan's Representatives, he has been in office since Truman.

Before Camille and Ryan left they gave Bennett his first hair cut.

This week Jackson and I were lucky enough to have the Bringhursts visit us.
