Obama and Texas

We went to Texas last week to check out Dallas and Austin. We loved Austin. They have a river that runs through down town. This other picture is my brother's dental practice outside of Austin.
Jackson made sure to check out the Texas Stadium.
We hiked a hill with Derek and Kristen to check out the views of Lake Austin.
We ate Mexican food every single day.
While we were in Fort Worth Jackson made sure we stopped at TCU's football stadium as well.
A few weeks ago we went to the Michigan graduation ceremony, President Obama was the commencement speaker.
It had rained all morning. When Jackson saw this picture he took of me he started laughing and said I look like someone punched the left side of my face. Awesome. I am going to start taking self portraits rather than let him take the pictures.
Jackson and the snipers. My favorite quote of the day was when Jackson saw a Secret Service agent and said he knew it was Secret Service because he looked like he could kill a person in two seconds flat.

a poll

It is generally accepted that I don't have the "look" of my family. One time I was asked if I was adopted, scarred me for life. Then last weekend my brother told me I looked like my Mom and my sister. This weekend someone else commented that I look exactly like my Mom. If you ask my family they will say that Chelsea looks the most like my Mom, Camille is next. Trevor looks like my Dad and Derek looks like my Mom's side of the family, although when asked my sister said they look like each other. Most of the time they say I look like my Dad's side of the family. So here is the poll, who looks like who?

P.S. in case you were wondering, Jackson is a carbon copy of his Dad.

small update

My Mom came to visit this weekend. I am not sure where she gets all her energy, I was ready to fall after every day. We painted, gardened, painted some more, shopped and ate. Today she and Jackson picked me up for lunch at Angelo's, they have the best breakfast food.

Coming soon: Our trip to Texas.

flashback

High school pictures keep appearing on facebook. Initially I thought it would only be fair to post awful high school pictures of me since I had previously posted pictures of Jackson in high school. After a quick blog history search I discovered no high school pictures of Jacks, A.K.A. "bird man" so I looked on Facebook where I know I have seen a couple, they seem to have mysteriously disappeared. Good thing I have access to all of his yearbooks...

I feel confident that there is a reason why I don't remember doing this.

I also found a picture of Camille, which she promptly untagged.
