Happy birthday Mom!

Today is my Mom's 60th birthday. We really, really, really wish we were in Salt Lake to celebrate with her but we are glad that we get her for the next couple of weeks starting Friday! So anyway, here are some random factoids about my Mom...

1. My Mom is incredibly talented. She. sings, paints, quilts, sews, cross stitches, and makes amazing floral master pieces.  She is very artistic.

2. While doing all that fun stuff she manages not one, not two but THREE family businesses.

3. My Mom started out as a BYU fan ( which is why I thought rise and shout the cougars are out was a wake up song until I was married and Jackson set me straight). She may object to my use of the past tense but we all knew her loyalties had changed when she stopped in the salt palace to watch some of a Utah/BYU game and started vocally cheering for the U!

4. In high school she was Ms. Soda high (or something like that). She was also the head of the Cardettes, the drill team. She was a pretty big deal.

5. To this day one of her favorites floor sitting positions is the 'w'. a gene that Camille and my niece Virginia have inherited.

6. She is pretty much the best Mom ever. I was telling Jackson about the my favorite birthday treat to take to school growing up and it finally dawned on me how much work it must have been for her to make 20-30 miniature chocolate pudding pies. The week before Christmas no less! They were so tasty though, she's the best!

Lately

The iPhone uploads pictures in random order so I never have any idea how the post will turn out. We have a little over two weeks left until the babies get here so we are mostly sedentary and boring. However, my dad did come out two weeks ago so we ventured up to georgetown for Savannah's first soccer practice and Jackson's ifirst sod laying practice. My brother Trevor is trying out four different types of grass to see which he likes best, his girls were just thrilled to have grass to run and jump on. We have also finished all but a few things in the nursery. Bring on the babies.
