day 2

Beautiful, right? The best part is that according to the Doctor the real chipmunk cheeks will set in tomorrow or Thursday! However, we have figured out a few keys to post wisdom teeth success. Take two loritab not one, this will make you far happier as well as making everything less painful. Eat applesauce not pudding, it is easier to slurp out of the spoon when you can't open your mouth. ALWAYS make sure you have enough substantial food (i.e. mashed potatoes rather than a Wendy's frosty and pudding) before taking the massive ib profen. I am off to watch more movies, other than the chipmunk cheeks my one week "vacation" from work is swell!

Cara minus 4 teeth

For those of you who didn't know, Cara went to the oral surgeon this morning to get all 4 of her wisdom teeth extracted. They were all impacted and the Dr. said they were tough to get out. The upper ones came out in one piece, but they were impacted and very close to the adjacent teeth. The lower ones were also impacted and were horizontal. They had to come out in 3-4 pieces each.
This is her the night before. She is so excited.
Night Before, Upper Jaw. If you are looking for her wisdom teeth, you won't find them. They have not erupted (sorry, dental lingo), meaning they haven't come through the gums.

What a beautiful mouth.

Right after the surgery as I wheeled her out to the car.

Few hours after the surgery at home.
She is doing great now, and getting through the pain and bleeding.

Michigan Tennis

We went and watched the Michigan tennis team play Wake Forest tonight. It was my first experience watching a tennis match (besides Jackson's 7 point No Champs championship). We had a good time, even though Michigan lost most of their matches.

Both teams are ranked in the top 25 I believe. It was really fun to watch a match in person, can you tell?

After the match we watched Kung Fu Panda, Hobbes was strangely intrigued by this movie, he watched much of it right next to the screen.

utah game

Well that was embarrassing, for the record there was no spider and certainly no dunk. I got excited when any of my shots weren't air balls, I have some serious talent... I was talking to Jackson today and I telling him how embarrassing his post was, he laughed at me and said how do you think I feel when there are tons of really close up pictures of me. Touche.

We had some friends over to watch the BYU/Utah game.

Ashlyn and Anna had a wrestling contest. I can already tell that Nate is going to be one of those parents.

I am pretty sure Pam and Jackson are ready to boycott me, I'm not sure Jordan noticed.

The Olson family.

#8 for MVP

Relief Society basketball has finally began for the year. It's about time! Cara was so good this last week that the team that played after her was short a player, so she was recruited to play 2 games.

A spider was on the court.
In addition to the runaway spider, this random lady unknowingly walked right in the middle of this intense relief society battle.

This was taken just moments before Cara spun baseline and threw down a monster dunk.

Cara had taken the ball down the entire court by herself on a fast-break, but when she stopped, the ball didn't.
If you couldn't tell, this is Jackson.

jackson's cinematography

I think it is fair to say that Jackson had to know as soon as I saw these on YouTube that I would be posting them here for everyone else to see. If you are lucky he will put his, Dave and Jordan's interpretation of Mr. Bean on YouTube too, although I wouldn't hold my breathe for that one! These are videos he and his friends made in high school for German Class and an assembly.

happy spring break to us

Jackson's "spring break" started yesterday. To kick it off Jackson played two basketball games and then we ordered food in, for the first time in our marriage, because we didn't want to go out in the blizzard. Next year we are going to Florida with everyone else in Michigan.
