BBQ and shower season iare here

On the first warm Sunday we (and everyone one else who lives within 100 miles) came out of hibernation officially and had a BBQ at the park with some friends.

Dave told an emotional story about speed mitton while Jordan just scared us all...

I think Heidi has a third eye that she keeps on my camera, which she has affectionately (or maybe not so affectionately) nicknamed stealth.

We had a baby shower for Rachel.

lots of presents and lots of food

and lots of people. it was fun, thanks for a having a baby Rachel.

easter weekend

Camille and Co. came to visit us over Easter weekend. She and Rachel had a guitar hero competition, I'm not sure who won. And the Easter Bunny brought Jackson and I some new clothes, he is so nice.

Jackson dreamed sweet dreams about what the Easter Bunny would bring him. He could hardly contain his excitement when he got a Ute polo. Bennett likes to sport the more traditional Ute apparel.

Eliza was a master Easter egg hunter this year. She kindly shared some of her spoils with Bennett.

Ryan made a remark on how it was ironic that Camille spent her morning trying to get her hair straight while I tried to get mine to have some kind of curl wave. I have identity issues with my hair when I am with my sisters, it's hard being the only straight haired member of the family besides the dog.

The Parkers and their baskets. Easter was way more fun with them, Jackson and the cats just aren't as much fun to watch during an Easter Egg hunt...

reasons why you should visit us this summer

We are campaigning for visitors for this summer and fall, and when flight prices are as low as they are ($129 round trip before taxes from SLC) it makes it even more exciting. So here are the reasons we are so fun to visit.
Because who hasn't dreamed of seeing the "Big House" and fairy doors in one town?

We like to have picnics and luckily live in one of the few places where real live hippies still reside (you can get a beautiful tie-dye shirt as a souvenir!)

Jackson make crepes for those who come to our house (read free hotel) and our cats are fun to tease.

If you come we will introduce you to our special Ute dessert and speed mitton (the Utes dessert is really only here because I was pretty sure Jackson would not appreciate pictures only of him)

We will take you to Angelo's which has the best food to ever touch Jackson's mouth, that's a direct quote. Then you can America's version of the Hogwarts Library.

Jackson will show you his masterful grill skills and then take you to see way old cars. Oh boy!

Can you think of any better way to spend your vacation then by getting cheap dental work by someone who is not yet licensed to perform it? I thought not. Don't worry, "Dr." Jackson is more than happy to fix all your problems of the mouth.

harlem globetrotters come to town

Tonight was a night to go down in the books, the night Jackson participated in the ward talent show. Granted I bribed him, but it was worth every single penny that went into that golf pass. Enjoy the video, it may be the best two minutes of your life.

Eliza and Bennett wanted in on the Globetrotter action.

scavenger hunt

Tonight we got together with some friends for a scavenger hunt around town. We split into two teams, boys vs. girls. We had a list of places that we had to get pictures of with at least two team members in each picture. Points were awarded based on how hard the place was to find.

Jackson and Jordan and "everlasting moments" and Mike and Todd at the Dental Museum.

Extra points were awarded for getting pictures of the other team when we saw them at a stop.

The girls won points wise, although the boys were sure that they won because they were done first, they also cheated by using google.

One of my favorite stops were the fairy doors around town, they were so funny!
