game week
This is Jackson's dream room found via Utefans. Our Ute wall is evolving. For the game opener gift (if you remember the first game of the season is treated as a holiday in our home) we bought a vinyl U and we came home with a couple other additions for our own Ute Wall. Jackson's Mom also bought us Utah salt and pepper shakers. We are ready for football season. Go Utes!

other happenings
In other news we fished a piece of jaw bone left over from my wisdom teeth extraction out of the back of my mouth yesterday. It's the strange looking thing on the left. I knew there was something funny going on back there.
Jackson said it was too small to show up on the panoramic x-ray which led me to wonder, if that was small then how big were the other pieces they took out?
more pictures
Jackson left out a few. Hagar's Viking Kubb, I am not kidding when I say that the girls decimated the boys. I think it was 4 out of 5 games.
We made a stop at Grandpa's farm.
Derek said he fulfilled his life's mission when Uncle Cleston let him drive the tractor. I am pretty sure Bennett felt the same way when my Dad took him for a ride on the four wheeler.
Another tractor.
The wheel of yet another. It was taller than Chelsea, the wheel that is.
All of my siblings at Old Faithful and Jackson's first trip to the Antler Arch.
Mackinaw to Yellowstone
Since our last post, we have been on many adventures. First, we went spent a weekend in northern Michigan with my sister and her family. They were nice enough to let us stay in their friends cottage which was right on the lake.
We went to Mackinaw Island. The only way to get there is by ferry.
No cars are allowed on the island, so the only modes of transportation are by horse and bike. In our case, tandem bike. It is small enough that we were able to bike around the entire island and then some in under 2 hours.
No, we are not on the island anymore. This is from our trip to Yellowstone with Cara's family. And no, those are not real bears. Bonus point for anyone who can tell me which one is a grizzly and which one a black bear.
This beautiful woman and I spent a great night canoeing down the Huron river, eating at a great middle eastern place and getting ice-cream from our favorite place, Stucci's.

as of late
Blueberry picking. Plus a new hat. New for me at least. I keep finding old things of Jackson's to claim as my own.
1.5 hours yields seven pounds of blueberries. I have turned Jackson into my own migrant blueberry picker.
Doubles tournament with Mike. They played very well but lost to the champions three years running.
