my funny valentine

We had a fun Valentine's Day this year. On Saturday we went to Valentine's Day (the movie) and then to dinner at one of our favorite pubs. We made sugar cookies later that night while watching the Olympics and the Utah game. Jackson also got his very first lesson on how to properly frost a cookie.
Jackson decided to make a documentary of me putting on an apron. This is me editing his photo shoot.

around these parts

The other day I was walking home in the snow so I sent my Dad a picture. I was looking for sympathy...

and I got this in return. Florida must be nice this time of year, all that sun.

I remember the day when Jackson made fun of the snuggie. He has come a long way.

G-chatting with Jordan, Camilla and Walker. What on earth did we do before video chatting?

basketball saturday

Utes vs. Cougars. We came out on bottom... this time.

We wanted to make sure our BYU friends felt really welcome, so we put out the red carpet for them.
We got to utilize our new welcome sign...
Earlier we went to the Michigan game, where the team we were cheering for won.
We sat by Heidi and Dave.

We were 50% pleased by the end of the day. We are going for 100% next time.

new years picture's

We went to our annual New Year's Party with our friends. There were many memorable moments including a dance off between Dave W. and Matt T. It was priceless and yes, there is video footage.

trip home part dos- yankee swap

We went to the annual Yankee Swap party at the Jensen's. This year we ditched the ugly sweaters for ugly pajamas, there were some gems.
I have a feeling that this behavior is reminiscent of both high school and pledgeship.
I borrowed a mu mu for the party, it was killer. My Dad was slightly embarrassed that I was willingly leaving the house in it.
We came away with a camo BYU hat and beer bread, in honor of Max Hall. Surprisingly no one tried to steal it from us, we tried our best to get rid of it.
This picture is essential to understand the next picture. This is from Yankee Swap a few years ago when Jackson and his chest hair took second place in the best dressed contest.

They were all asking for it when Jackson's "seemingly endless supply of chest hair" was referenced in the invitation. Yes, we made a Christmas ornament out of his chest hair, it came with a certificate of authenticity. Disgusting? Undoubtedly, but dare I say that this gift will go down in Yankee Swap history? I think so.
The hosts.

Snuggies and onesies were popular outfits this year.
Till next year!
