just dance

Jackson got Just Dance for the Wii at my request, little did we know Jackson is a dance super star. I have yet to beat him once. Apparently he has been onto something all these years as he told me that my sense of rhythm is lacking.
We had a dance off with our friends, Jackson almost beat Jess..

Feast your eyes on Jackson's superior dance skills.

graduation numero uno

We kicked off graduation season today with my graduation. Jackson is to follow in about three weeks time. My Mom flew in this week so she could be here, we have had lots of fun shopping.

I am now a Master of Liberal Studies in Social Sciences and American Culture.

Wahoo! All done!

B-Ball in the hood

We had the stake basketball tournament last week. My team won. Mostly because I was on the team. I made 0 of my 0 shots. Perfect scoring record.
See me waving both my hands in the picture? Probably just trying to make sure that everyone knows not to pass me the ball, either that or I was saying an enthusiastic hello to Jackson on the sidelines.
Jackson's team also won it all, tournament champions. We are big time around here.
Doesn't Jackson look like he is about to have a High School Musical moment and break into song on the court?

a blast from the past

I was going through some old pictures today, here are a couple good ones...
Old cell phone pictures. Hello Mr. Bean.
Can you tell that Jackson is trying to look happy but is really in pain? This was when he herniated a disc in his back. It is also the trip where I first saw Jackson with a shirt off, the chest hair is staggering...

For the record, I knew it was a bad hair day even back then... These two pictures are from our first date. This is Jackson's missionary pose.
Jackson and Elliot made sure to hold the walls up all night. I learned about Jackson's extreme dislike for dancing this night...

San Francisco

My parents met me in San Francisco for my doctors appointment. They met me on their anniversary and we all went out to dinner to celebrate, it was probably the first time in at least 15 years that they went to dinner with one of their children on their anniversary!
We made a stop at the beach, it was not warm.
A childhood friend reunion
Martha took us around to some of the sites, including the numerous heart sculptures.
This was right before my Dad ran up and down the stairs.
Full House anyone?
The trolley car. This was right before my Dad started breaking it down on the streets of SF.
Golden Gate
Lombard Street
I learned where Derek got his rental car driving skills. Apparently rental cars are not meant to be driven gently.

Chelsea and Jesse

My sister got married a couple of weeks ago. We flew back to SLC for a whirlwind week.
The couple of the moment at their wedding dinner.
Chelsea and Lambie
Getting ready for the reception
We julienned red peppers for hours. Literally.
Some cousins who came for the wedding.

to inhibitions

My Dad dancing on a street corner in San Francisco to show us why we should get past our inhibitions. He was quite disappointed that my Mom and I wouldn't join him but someone had to record the moment! This is why we love our Dad...
