leg one

The day after Jackson graduated we dropped my Dad off at the airport and kept on driving. We made it to Hershey for Mother's Day and the blessing day of Jude and Wyatt.
Owen brothers can not get together without throwing a football around together. They feel so deprived living so far away from each other that they have to get in as many football throws as they can when they gather.
We made the Barefoot Contessa's brownies. Yes, there is a full pound of butter AND chocolate in there.
Jude and Wyatt after their blessing.
Photo shoot, Luke was thrilled- he must be related to his Uncle Jackson...
We stopped in Kirtland on our way to Hershey.

Dr. Owen

Today is the culmination of eight years of college. Jackson has been working towards Dentistry even before he was actually in Dental School, I am so proud of him.
He looks like a new man, can you tell? This is what being completely done with tests, homework and boards looks like.
So happy after actually receiving the diploma. And they actually gave him the real diploma, not a fake one with the real one to mailed later!
Jackson receiving his hood and his diploma. Blurry but you get the point.
You can barely see him but this is Jackson in the processional. Congratulations Dr.!

The baseball game

We went to the Tigers/Yankees baseball game yesterday as part of Jackson's graduation week celebration. My Dad was almost chasing these people to get a picture of their matching Jeter jersey's to use as an example of name recognition.
I borrowed Jackson's hat for the game but it covered my face so well my Dad had me keep moving it for pictures.
Enjoying the sun. It was perfect weather so long as you were in the sun.
A. Rod up to bat. I don't remember anything about his hitting, but he probably hit the ball. He was an excellent third baseman though.
Outside Comerica Park.

fun with friends

We have been trying to pack in as much time with our friends as we can before we move.
including birthday parties
and dance offs....

Grand Rapids

We drove up to Grand Rapids last night so we could attend Kaden's blessing today. After church there was some baseball.
They are serious about their game.
Taking pictures with the man of the hour.
You wouldn't be able to tell from these pictures that he sobbed through the blessing. Pretty much the only time we ever heard him cry.
The whole family. We are glad we got to have one last trip to Grand Rapids to see the Bringhursts.

the duke and duchess of cambridge

The Royal Wedding party. We watched the wedding, ate some British food and some American food. It was fabulous.
The homemade hats....
Rachel's? Twigs with flowers hot glued to them all tied to a headband. Absolutely amazing.

The spread. Cucumber sandwiches, Queen's scones, bundt cake, digestibles, cheese spreads, doughnuts and quiche. It was sublime.
