Halloween at work

Halloween is a VERY big deal where I work. The Dean throws a big Halloween party every year and each office is expected to dress as a theme. Here is Monopoly.

Our office decor...

The party

My office chose dictators. We had the Queen of Hearts, Caesar, Napolean, Fidel

and we made a poster for our boss who is in Hawaii, he was an Ottoman Sultan.

volleyball

We just concluded the ward volleyball season. Here is the men's team-front line all 6'4 and up

trip to Iowa and visit from Iowans

The computer is back so prepare for a slew of pictures. The first is of our trip to Iowa to see Jordan, Camilla, Walker and the Utes and then of their trip to A2 the next weekend to see us, the cats and Iowa vs. Michigan.
Playing catch at the Arb. Walker wanted in on the action so he threw the ball to Jackson a couple of times.

We took them to Jenny's cider mill for the obligatory cider and pumpkin doughnuts.
Jackson picked a long skinny pumpkin that most resembled him.
Jackson and Jordan did numerous dances to avoid bees.
Here is Jordan mid-dance.
Hanging out at Jordan and Camilla's.
Singing Utah Man after the win.
So excited to see the Utes in person.
We saw lots of friends who had come from Missouri, Nebraska and Wisconsin to see the Utes.
Walking around Iowa's campus.

Getting a routine home check up. Jackson got a new light for his scopes (the funny glasses) and of course had to try it out so he could learn how to not blind patients on me. So he pulled out his dental tools (he bought a set at Meier for home) and gave me a check up. Let me tell you, he is much more polite about my cavities when there is a professor near by!

an open container of Clorox wipes

= disaster. I broke our second computer within a year. Thankfully this one is still under warranty.

It's too bad because we have some sweet pictures of volleyball...

Calling all Chi-O's

Dear Chi Omega's,
Did you know we have a Xi Alpha alumni blog? We do, it all started out as a way to keep my pledge class in contact and from there bloomed into a blog for all Xi Alpha alumna. In the last several days I have gotten a couple of e-mails from older (than me) alumni who have found the blog, which inspired this post. I know of a lot of Chi O blogs that are not on our list of alumni blogs, but I feel uncomfortable adding people's blogs without their permission (which hasn't stopped me before but it always makes me feel uncomfortable).

So if you are a Xi Alpha alum and would like your blog added to our list of alumni blogs let me know. Also, if you have pictures from the old days or gatherings with your Chi O friends send them to me so we can put them up, I can only cycle my pictures so many times and taking pictures from other people's blogs makes me feel uncomfortable so I appreciate any pictures people add or send to me (we can add you as an author if you so wish!)

Any questions? Leave a comment or e-mail me chio.xialpha@gmail.com

Hoot hoot.
