The baseball game

We went to the Tigers/Yankees baseball game yesterday as part of Jackson's graduation week celebration. My Dad was almost chasing these people to get a picture of their matching Jeter jersey's to use as an example of name recognition.
I borrowed Jackson's hat for the game but it covered my face so well my Dad had me keep moving it for pictures.
Enjoying the sun. It was perfect weather so long as you were in the sun.
A. Rod up to bat. I don't remember anything about his hitting, but he probably hit the ball. He was an excellent third baseman though.
Outside Comerica Park.

fun with friends

We have been trying to pack in as much time with our friends as we can before we move.
including birthday parties
and dance offs....

Grand Rapids

We drove up to Grand Rapids last night so we could attend Kaden's blessing today. After church there was some baseball.
They are serious about their game.
Taking pictures with the man of the hour.
You wouldn't be able to tell from these pictures that he sobbed through the blessing. Pretty much the only time we ever heard him cry.
The whole family. We are glad we got to have one last trip to Grand Rapids to see the Bringhursts.

the duke and duchess of cambridge

The Royal Wedding party. We watched the wedding, ate some British food and some American food. It was fabulous.
The homemade hats....
Rachel's? Twigs with flowers hot glued to them all tied to a headband. Absolutely amazing.

The spread. Cucumber sandwiches, Queen's scones, bundt cake, digestibles, cheese spreads, doughnuts and quiche. It was sublime.
Watching the arrivals

Cara on CNN

As many of you know, Cara has always had a fascination with English Royalty. So of course, she is very excited for the Royal Wedding coming up. CNN did a story on what people are doing across the country for it, and Cara was mentioned.

About the 4th paragraph down it says:

"Team iReport got into the spirit and challenged its community to make their own royal toppers. Cara Owen, a student from Ann Arbor, Michigan, used a glue gun, green spray paint and feathers to create a fascinator suited for a princess. On April 29, she and some friends will watch the wedding while enjoying an English brunch."

Here is more from CNN about Cara

just dance

Jackson got Just Dance for the Wii at my request, little did we know Jackson is a dance super star. I have yet to beat him once. Apparently he has been onto something all these years as he told me that my sense of rhythm is lacking.
We had a dance off with our friends, Jackson almost beat Jess..

Feast your eyes on Jackson's superior dance skills.
