Cara the Ref

So for our stake basketball this year, they asked around for volunteer referees. Cara told me she really wanted to do it. Because I had visions of her calling technical fouls on everyone who said a word, I was worried that both teams would run out of players by the end of the game. So I told her she couldn't do it. But we showed up for the game, there was no ref. So even though she didn't dress for it, she jumped at the opportunity.

She did her first game today, and did a great job.

She's the one on the right (in case you can't tell)

One reason she did such a good job was because she kept her whistle in her pocket.

Best looking ref I've ever seen. Especially in her boots and jeans.

  1. Wow I am super impressed Cara! I have anxiety just llooking at those pictures. I am super uncomfortable when it comes to sports. Like last year when I was the yw basketball coach...worst month of my life but you look very much at ease!

  4. You are so brave Cara. I could never in a million years. I don't even know what a foul is? You should have used the whistle, I bet that is half the fun.
