Jackson's birthday celebrations

For Jackson's birthday party yesterday we started it off with some home run derby.

The girls hit too, but we mostly sat and were eaten by mosquitoes.
I forgot to pick up candles, luckily Camille and Ryan brought sparklers.

The day of Jackson's birthday we went to one of our favorite restaurants, an Irish Pub.
Jackson's birthday also marked the first day of the Art Fair, one of the largest in the country.
We were a bit creeped out by these fine pieces of art. We really thought they might move.

Jackson's first cake was exactly what he asked for, a chocolate Ute cake.
Jackson's new Foosball table, that fits conveniently on our table.
One of his favorite root beers.
A gift from his parents, speed mitten. We tried it out tonight, it is a new favorite of ours.
It may seem strange that I gave Jackson marshmallows. His family has a special treat where they microwave the marshmallows (it has to be on a paper plate) and then freeze them, sounds strange to me but then again I don't like marshmallows. Which is why Jackson got them for his birthday, because they were rarely ever be in our house otherwise.

Happy Birthday

Jackson when he was a little boy.Jackson in high school. He is a very proud Ram.
Jackson became a grill master this year.

He won another church basketball championship this year.Jackson is a pro jumper

Jackson got a few of his presents today. He got a new bike and some Michigan football themed wall decorations ( he has been scouting out the perfect location in the house for it all day.)

Tomorrow is Jackson's birthday. Since we are going to be very busy tomorrow I figured I would take the time now to do this post. Jackson is turning 26 this year and we are going to make it into a several day event. Since he works every night this week we will be doing cake on Saturday with a little home run derby. Happy Birthday Jacks, you're the best!

More Disneyland...

This is Jackson helping Buzz Lightyear save the galaxy.

We liked this ride so much we went on it twice. Notice that my score is higher than Jackson's this round, a fact that I am quite proud of. Don't worry we're not competitve at all.

Trip back west

Jackson and I just got back from a fun two week vacation to Salt Lake and California. We had such a great time and have lots of fun pictures to show it! (sorry it is a massive post)
Brunch with my girlfriends
We went to Brighton for the 4th and hiked to Lake Mary.

We canoed on Silver Lake.

Playing Viking Kubb with our friends

Salt Lake was soooooooooo hot, we had to stop and buy a slurpee. We were actually pretty excited to see sev, they are pretty sparse out here.

My cousin Alicia came down for a day. It was so fun to see her, she recently returned from her mission so it has been a while. We had a lot of fun.

The week before we were in California. We went to Coronado one day. The beach was so nice.

The sunset at the Oceanside Pier.

Danny and Jackson didn't exactly fit some of the rides.

When we got to Disneyland I told Jackson that one of us would see someone we knew. We were so excited to see Natalie and Dave!

Danny's turkey leg

Jackson went to the Padres game with the boys.

It may seem strange to have a picture of our bags but after the airlines lost them for two days we were VERY grateful to have them.

Picnic at the Arb

We had a really fun picnic at the Arb a little while ago. We went with the Parkers, Nelsons, Duckworths and another family.

We received a really fun picnic basket for our wedding almost three years ago. This was the first time Jackson and I used it together.

After the picnic we went to the Top of the Park and watched Hairspray on a big blow up screen. It was really fun.
