happy birthday

Hobbes and Hermione turned 3 sometime in the last month and a half. We aren't awesome pet owners that celebrate pet birthdays or get presents. Mostly we forget how old they are. However, I am bored and have these pictures at my disposal so here you go. Once they were small, now they are not.

It's Great to be a Ute

As I am sure everyone knows by now, Utah has joined the conference of champions, the PAC10(12)

I just happened to fly into SLC the night before the announcement, since my brother was getting married that weekend. To add to my luck, I was able to go the press conference where they made the announcement. Here are some pictures of it.

It felt like the "Who's Who of Utah". The room was full of Utah coaches, players, politicians, media and other big wigs of utah.

Utah going to the Pac 10 has been rumored for most of my life. So it was amazing to finally have it happen. In my mind, this is the biggest thing to happen to the U since it's founding.

If you look very closely you can see Jackson to the right of the bride. He looks very stiff because he was trying really hard not to touch the girl next to him. It was hilarious.

Father's day celebration. We got to celebrate with both families but I am terrible at remembering to photograph my families get together's, although I do have some camera phone pictures to come.

Between the wedding and the reception we drove to my Aunt's house for my Granny's 85th birthday party. I also got to see Virginia for the first time.

We took a lot of sibling shots, this was the first time they had all been together in two years.

Brunch with Lindsey and Danielle. Also my last picture without glasses for the next 3-6 months. I went to my optometrist while in Utah only to find out that the irritation I have had for the last few months was not just my contacts but a very deep corneal infection in both eyes. I get eye drops for the next couple of days and then glasses for the next couple of months.

my child twin

My sister has been scanning pictures of my Granny for her 85th birthday party, she came across this one today and is convinced she found my "child twin" or as Jackson called it the "ghost of my child self." They are referring to the youngest bridesmaid (my Granny is the second over from the bride).

I am not convinced we look like twins, perhaps a similar nose.

Mike and Jackson played in a doubles tournament this weekend.

Stewart and I hung out while they played.

Sadly, they lost. Their second set was intense though.
