jackson's cinematography

I think it is fair to say that Jackson had to know as soon as I saw these on YouTube that I would be posting them here for everyone else to see. If you are lucky he will put his, Dave and Jordan's interpretation of Mr. Bean on YouTube too, although I wouldn't hold my breathe for that one! These are videos he and his friends made in high school for German Class and an assembly.

happy spring break to us

Jackson's "spring break" started yesterday. To kick it off Jackson played two basketball games and then we ordered food in, for the first time in our marriage, because we didn't want to go out in the blizzard. Next year we are going to Florida with everyone else in Michigan.

Dentist Jackson

4 dental students who speak English only
+ 1 patient who only speaks Arabic
+ patients very strong gag reflex
+ 30 x-rays to be done
= 1 frustrated Jackson and some really funny stories that include large gestures.

In other news Jackson has moved from giving his dummy at school random dental exams to giving me random dental exams. I may start pulling my lips over my teeth when I talk.

I saw this on Jane's blog, and knowing how artistic and creative Jane is I signed up immediately, so bear with me because, really, this is the fruit of my really wanting to sign up on her blog. I am not sure if I was supposed to just copy the entire post from Jane's blog, so I just did.

Here is the deal: The first five people to comment on this post will get something made by me.

My choice.

For you.

This offer does have some restrictions and limitations:
1- I make no guarantees that you will like what I make.
2- What I create will be just for you.
3- It'll be done this year.
4- You have no clue what it's going to be. It may be a story. It may be photography or an article on properly cleaning your face before a masque. I may sew or paint something. I may bake you something and mail it to you. Who knows? Not you, that's for sure! ( I just copied this from Jane's blog, I can guarantee that I will not paint anything for you, be glad) Maybe it will be a bouquet of flower pens (remember when flower pens were the coolest? I always wanted one.)
5- I reserve the right to do something extremely strange.

The catch? Oh, the catch is that you must re-post this on your own blog and offer the same deal to 5 of your own lucky blog readers. So, the first 5 people to leave a comment telling me they are in, win a homemade gift by me! Oh, and be sure to post a picture of what you win when you get it.

four score....

Four years ago today Jackson flew to visit me in DC and proposed outside the Jefferson Monument. I took the metro from work to get him at the airport and then we took it to the Smithsonian so that we could walk to the Jefferson to "meet up" with his brother and his family. Unfortunately Jackson didn't realize how long a walk it would be and I was wearing my new shoes because they were so cute, I still have scars on the back of my heels from that walk... a small price to pay I guess. (for anyone who may think it is strange that I remember the date, Jackson made things easy for me. It all revolves around my birthday you see, I was born on Dec. 18, we went on our first date on April 18 and he proposed on Feb. 18. See Camille the world really does revolve around my birthday!)

P.S. we got married on the 13th not the 18th, that would have been way to cutesy...

happy heart day

Jackson will be getting his every own custom U of U t-shirt. The second picture is part of my revenge for the sleeping pictures, I put lots of pictures of Jackson in this post, he is going to love it.

Happy Valentine's to me. Jackson got me the Presidential thimble set, it has a thimble of all the presidents up to George W.

Jackson holding his creation and then holding Anna so her parents could play some guitar.

Battle of the marrieds.

Jackson making the pizza and Jordan and Pam enjoying some guitar hero.

The two children at our party, most people would maybe assume a Valentines party would be for kids but we like to shake things up around here.

Rachel and Heidi didn't like first picture I took so I gave them a second chance.
Heidi and Dave's valentine box, it put all the rest of ours to shame, they even put pictures of everyone in it, here we are on the 15 yard line.

Jackson's pride and glory, he did all the work on our box, it even had gingeva.

Mike's box and the Wrights "Y" box (Pam made the box not Jordan) and Rachel's bee.

We're moving up in the world

We are feeling pretty fancy around these parts lately, we recently bought a new headboard for our bed. The greatest part about this? No more waking up in the middle of the night because my pillow has fallen down the crack between the wall and the bed, it is wonderful.
