memorable memorial day

Our weekend visiting family in Hershey and D.C.
It was so hot that Bennett and Eliza kept dipping their heads in the water to cool themselves off. Before we left the World War 2 Memorial Ryan gave their heads one last dip.

We became a tourist attraction. This guy came up right next to Bennett and Eliza, he flashed a peace sign while his entire group took video and photographs of the five of us. Jackson is pretty sure he was enthralled with Bennett's white hair.

A lazy Sunday afternoon at the Parker's
It started with one falling asleep and ended with two
A quick trip to Gettysburg
Making tin foil dinners and roasting marshmallows in the park.
Visiting the Amish. We saw an ice cream maker circa 1915 and bought a gallon of homemade Amish root beer. It looked more like moonshine.

  3. We were just across the way at Arlington National Cemetary. Too bad we didn't meet up, but good thing we ran into you (or Jackson, rather) at the random gas station in Pennsylvania. :)
